The catalog problem nobody warns you about
11zeros' whole pitch is precision fit — a 0.35mm case for your exact phone, not a generic "universal" shell. That's a genuinely good product story, but it turns a normal storefront problem into a hard one: every product exists in dozens of device-model variants, on top of the usual colors, and a customer picking the wrong model isn't a returns headache, it's a case that visibly doesn't fit.
The storefront had to make model selection foolproof without turning every product page into a maze of dropdowns, while staying fast enough that a case that's currently trending in a reviewer's video doesn't buckle the site the day it goes up.

A fully custom platform wasn't the right call here — Shopify's own ecosystem already covers most of what a fast-moving accessories brand needs, and rebuilding it from scratch would have meant slower iteration on the part that actually matters: the product and the catalog logic around it. We picked the platform to fit the brand, not the other way around.
